Medical Assistant and Front Desk

• Snelling Staffing has multiple open positions for medical clinics in the Baton Rouge area seeking Medical Assistants and Medical Office personnel. All of our clinics are willing to train candidates with the aptitude to work hard. Previous experience in the medical field or a relevant four-year degree is required prior to applying!! All of our medical positions are paying in the range of $15-$17 per hour depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians by obtaining patient histories and vitals
• Update patient information in the computer
• Triage phone calls
• Schedule patient appointments
• Manage referrals
• Verify patient insurances
• Maintain a friendly environment for open patient interaction

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in the medical field is greatly preferred!
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Biology, Kinesiology, etc.) is acceptable in lieu of work experience
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Computer skills
• Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
• Maintain a friendly and uplifting environment for co-workers
