Description:
Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following:
Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team."
There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team.
Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed during each emergency event, as impacts vary.
By signing the travel contract to take a position, travelers accept this and will report as assigned by the immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs.
Travelers should not apply for this role if they are not comfortable with these conditions.
Workload &
Schedule:
Average daily census is 6.
Shifts consist of 8-10 hours, 5 days per week, depending on the number of staff members in the department.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Call is expected up to 3 times per week, with weekend and weekday call rotations.
All travelers must respond within 30 minutes for call duties.
Expectations:
Work independently and confidently in all Cath Lab procedures.
Willingness to share expertise and support colleagues is essential.
About the Lab:
The facility performs a variety of cardiac, peripheral, vascular (diagnostic & interventional), electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures.
Advanced equipment includes Impella, IABP, Inari, EKOS, Angiojet, Rotoblator, Shockwave, Diamondback, and Medrad/Acist injectors.
Imaging systems include Siemens and Canon labs.
Electronic medical records utilizes EPIC with Cupid documentation.
The team is highly efficient with a focus on optimal response times for emergencies.
Unit Details:
Must be comfortable sharing knowledge and assisting others.
Special equipment experience is required, including Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, and laser equipment.
Candidates must be experienced in STEMI protocols.
Ability to perform peripheral interventions and electrophysiology procedures is mandatory.
Travel compliance details:
Local travelers will not be accepted.
Travelers must have 2 years of experience in the specialty.
References from two managerial or supervisory individuals will be required to obtain clearance to start.
