SCLHSA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Human Resources Analyst A-C to support and administer key functions within the Human Resources Department. This leadership‑level role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact while working in a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

- Three years of human resources experience; OR
- Six years of full‑time experience in any field; OR
- A bachelor’s degree.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full‑time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience.
Job Duties- Process full range of personnel and payroll actions needed to complete appointments, merit increases, promotions, transfers, separations, etc.
- Compute routine pay changes and, if required, service time of employees. Verify accuracy of information and make needed corrections.
- Provide general explanations of employee benefit programs and advise employees of available options. Review benefits documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide induction documents to new employees, guiding them through required forms and ensuring timely completion.
- Review position descriptions for accuracy of organizational information and resolve minor conflicts in documentation.
- Ensure that current descriptions are maintained for all positions through routine file reviews.
- Collect and compile statistical data required for reports.
- Provide assistance to agency personnel on routine or limited Civil Service rules, Federal and State laws, and department policies and procedures.
- Assist supervisors and managers with continuous performance management information, notification of deadlines, and follow‑up to meet target dates.
Location: SCLHSA's Administration Office, Houma, LA.
Appointment Type: Classified Position – may transfer into a Probationary Appointment at a future date.
Career Progression Group: Participates in a CPG; may be filled at Human Resources Analyst A-C level based on qualifications.
CompensationThe starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
