This position serves as a Human Resources Professional supporting two personnel areas:
Headquarters (HDQ) and Prison Enterprises (PE). The role is responsible for directing and administering all Human Resources programs for statewide positions within these units and managing personnel actions for seven (7) Unit Heads located at correctional facilities throughout the state.
Our HR team administers and supports a wide range of processes, including FMLA, performance management, personnel actions, time administration, reporting workers’ compensation claims and employee relations matters that require careful review, sound judgment, and consistent application of policy. The work involves a steady volume of detail-oriented and time-sensitive tasks that require strong coordination, organization, and follow-through.

- Five years of human resources experience; OR
- Six years of full‑time experience in any field plus two years of human resources experience; OR
- A bachelor’s degree plus two years of human resources experience; OR
- An advanced degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of human resources experience.
