IRIS direct end client which is one of the Fortune 500 company and an international life insurance and financial services firm is urgently looking to hire ML Engineer – Newark, NJ (100% Remote). This is a Contract opportunity.

100% Remote

Nature of Contract – Contract to Hire

Senior positions for ML engineering work on Gen AI, RAG systems, and model deployment in a contract-to-hire arrangement.

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.

• Proven, hands-on experience with RAG, LLM fine-tuning, and agentic frameworks.
• Expert knowledge of statistical modeling, with significant project experience using tree models (e.g., XGBoost, Random Forest) and other ML techniques.
• Production-level experience with AWS Sage Maker.
• Exceptional Python programming skills for data manipulation and model development.
• Strong ability to perform data transformation, ETL and work with historical data for model training.

• 1st Preference:
  Insurance, Retirement/Pension, or Financial Services.
• 2nd Preference:
  Publishing or EdTech.

• Design, build, and deploy robust machine learning models and Gen AI applications (e.g., advanced RAG systems, LLM fine-tuning).
• Lead end-to-end ML projects, from data ingestion and transformation through to model training, evaluation, and MLOps integration.
• Conduct whiteboard and hands-on coding sessions to architect and problem-solve complex data and model challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to product ionize AI solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
