On‑Site Technician, Baton Rouge, LAArdent is seeking an On‑Site Technician to provide desktop and field support services at federal research and clinical facilities. This role delivers hands‑on technical support, maintains system functionality, and ensures continuous onsite coverage for enterprise users.
Responsibilities and Duties- Provide continuous onsite desktop support at designated federal facilities.
- Support Windows 10/11 environments, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through Service Now.
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Support mobile device management (MDM) platforms and endpoint configurations.
- Coordinate directly with leadership and stakeholders to ensure service delivery and issue resolution.
- Maintain system availability and user productivity across supported environments.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities in accordance with established processes.
- Provide support for standalone and remote site environments as required.
- Public Trust required.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in desktop support or field technician roles.
- Experience supporting remote or standalone federal site environments.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Experience using Service Now or similar ticketing systems.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in an onsite environment.
- CompTIA A+ certification.
- Experience supporting federal or government environments.
- Experience supporting research or clinical environments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
