** Job Description*
* Oracle's Health Application and Infrastructure Database Services Team is a client-facing organization supporting more than 400 customer databases across multiple geographies. SLA adherence is mission-critical, as any lapse directly impacts customers who rely on OHAI to run their healthcare businesses. In alignment with our mission, we are focused on enhancing the reliability, scalability, and security of the database platform for mission-critical healthcare applications managed by the DB Services team.

Our customers deserve exceptional service as they depend on our cloud infrastructure to operate their businesses, while we continue striving to reduce overall healthcare spending and deliver on our broader vision. To achieve this, we are building a next-generation platform that manages the entire database lifecycle-from provisioning and upgrades to termination-while delivering a seamless self-service cloud experience.

To support these goals, we are seeking passionate Database Administrator in the United States. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in Oracle Database troubleshooting, large-scale issue analysis, Oracle Cloud, Autonomous Database, SQL performance management, partitioning, compression, Exadata, and Oracle Golden Gate. Additional skills in Dev Ops, PL/SQL, Python are highly valued, and we welcome professionals with proven expertise in Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, and Dev Ops, as well as those eager to expand their skills in cloud technologies.

** Responsibilities*
* Minimum Qualifications

-    Bachelor's degree/master's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Software, Electronics, Operational Research, or Computer System Engineering.

-    Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

-    Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts.

- Experience with production operations and best practices for deploying quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise.

-    5+ years of experience in Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, and Dev Ops tool, Database management

-    2+ years of experience and working knowledge in scripting languages like Python, PLSQL, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting.

-    2+ years of experience in the development, management, and organization of Golden Gate replication.

-    Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations).

-    Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Shepherd and Terraform.

-    Knowledge of CI/CD Platforms and components such as Jenkins.

-    Knowledge of orchestration tools like Ansible and Chef.

-    Knowledge of version control using Git.

-    Experience in Maximum Availability Architecture & Best Practices for Oracle Database & Exadata.

-    Understanding of REST Architecture and JSON is a plus.

-    Building and managing Linux OS systems with good understanding how the Linux kernel works (IO, Network, etc.) and ability to read and understand source code.

Your key responsibilities include:

-    Contribute to strategic projects outlined in our roadmap, focusing on transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.

-    Lead efforts to migrate databases to the Autonomous Database, ensuring a seamless transition for optimal performance.

-    Implement advanced strategies like partitioning and advanced compression to enhance overall database efficiency and scalability.

-    Work collaboratively with multiple teams, actively participating in the execution of roadmap projects.

-    Apply your skill set and hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud and Data Management.

-    Act as a trusted technical advisor to solve complex Infrastructure and Dev Ops challenges.

-    Define and develop monitoring infrastructure criteria (SLIs, SLOs).

-    Solve complex and difficult problems and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.

-    Participate in incident management, operational/security maintenance, software performance analysis, and system tuning.

-    Drives and actively participates in the resolution of complex technical issues.

-    Drive Project to improve the availability, scalability, security, efficiency of Oracle products and services.

-    Contribute to the growth of the team by mentoring new associates, facilitating knowledge transfer and team development.
