Microsoft BI Specialist
Location:
Baton Rouge, LA
Duration: 12 months
Pay: $65 - $70 per hour.
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data & Business Process Automation Analyst to join a dynamic enterprise team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with data, building reports, automating business processes, and improving operational efficiency through technology.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and analyze reports, dashboards, and data models to support business operations.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel features, including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formulas, for data transformation and analysis.
- Design, maintain, and enhance SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and permissions.
- Create and maintain HTML-based forms for data collection and business workflows.
- Develop automated workflows using SharePoint Workflows, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar automation tools.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation and improved data management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple systems.
- Troubleshoot reporting, workflow, and system-related issues.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query.
- Experience administering and developing SharePoint solutions.
- Working knowledge of HTML and web-based forms.
- Hands‑on experience building workflows and process automations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.).
- Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices.
- Experience supporting business operations or workforce management environments.
- Experience creating workflows and process automations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query.
- Knowledge of HTML and web‑based forms.
