Microsoft BI Specialist

Location:

Baton Rouge, LA
Duration: 12 months
Pay: $65 - $70 per hour.

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data & Business Process Automation Analyst to join a dynamic enterprise team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with data, building reports, automating business processes, and improving operational efficiency through technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze reports, dashboards, and data models to support business operations.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel features, including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formulas, for data transformation and analysis.
  • Design, maintain, and enhance SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and permissions.
  • Create and maintain HTML-based forms for data collection and business workflows.
  • Develop automated workflows using SharePoint Workflows, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar automation tools.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation and improved data management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple systems.
  • Troubleshoot reporting, workflow, and system-related issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query.
  • Experience administering and developing SharePoint solutions.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and web-based forms.
  • Hands‑on experience building workflows and process automations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices.
  • Experience supporting business operations or workforce management environments.
Top Required Skills
  • Experience creating workflows and process automations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query.
  • Knowledge of HTML and web‑based forms.
