Guided by BCBSLA’s Reference Architecture, Standards, and Corporate Strategy the Lead Domain Architect is responsible for guiding of a domain’s technical roadmap to support future business and IT projects. Ensuring sound, sustainable and economically viable design, striking the right balance between enterprise and functional needs in full alignment with and support of BCBSLA Application and Technology Portfolios, Enterprise Data Sourcing Model with a focus on increased operational efficiency, reliability, predictability and long-term economic viability while reducing technical debt.

Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

• Necessary Contacts:
  To do this job effectively the incumbent has to be in contact with:
  
  All levels of BCBSLA personnel, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, other Blue Plans, and a limited number of external community/industry organizations.

• Bachelor's of Computer Science, Information Science, Analytics or other technical programs including mathematics, applied physics or similar discipline required
• Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

• 7 years technical leadership and hands-on technology implementation to include four years’ experience in software development, Dev Sec Ops  engineering, or systems administration and 3 years of technical architecture, or data management.

Requires advanced knowledge of Enterprise Architecture practice, ALM, software development best practices and standards, tools with extensive demonstrable experience in leading business application solution, design, and implementation of complex business initiatives.

• Healthcare industry experience
• Understanding of infrastructure and security requirements, such as HIPAA preferred.
• TOGAF certifications or like
• ITIL certifications
• Vendor certifications
