Systems & Network Support Assistant

Description We are looking for a Systems & Network Support Assistant to help maintain stable, secure technology operations for an organization based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on support across desktop, server, and network environments while working closely with IT team members to keep infrastructure performing reliably. The role focuses on troubleshooting Microsoft-based systems, assisting with user access and directory services, and contributing to the overall health of core technology platforms.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver day-to-day technical support for Windows workstations, servers, and connected network resources to resolve issues efficiently and minimize downtime.

- Assist with administering Active Directory tasks such as user account maintenance, access updates, and basic group policy support.

- Monitor system and network performance, identify operational concerns, and escalate or address problems before they affect business users.

- Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 10 environments across the organization.

- Work alongside the IT Network Administrator and Security Specialist to strengthen system reliability, user support, and infrastructure security practices.

- Help deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and platform technologies, including Dell devices and Citrix-based solutions where needed.

- Document support activities, recurring issues, and technical resolutions to improve service continuity and future troubleshooting efforts. Requirements - Hands-on experience supporting Active Directory in a business environment.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and support.

- Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10 systems.

- Familiarity with Dell Technologies hardware and related support practices.

- Exposure to Citrix Technologies within desktop or application delivery environments.

- Understanding of core networking concepts and general server support responsibilities.

- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and collaborate effectively with IT staff and end users. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
