As a Commercial Lines Account Manager in Baton Rouge, you will support a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, collaborating with a team of professionals in an established and collaborative environment. Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients, ensuring responsive and high‑quality support.
- Manage renewals, policy changes, certificates, endorsements, and client requests efficiently in accordance with agency standards.
- Collaborate with Producers and Account Managers to develop strategies for account retention and identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and stay updated on market trends, products, and underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare professional client proposals, coverage comparisons, and related documentation as needed.
- Utilize agency management systems to maintain accurate records and process transactions.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management or Account Executive roles (agency/brokerage preferred).
- Active Property & Casualty license.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages, carriers, and rating systems.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficiency with Applied Epic, AMS
360, or similar agency management systems.
- Experience preparing detailed proposals and coverage comparisons for commercial clients.
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and current market products.
- Proven ability to partner with Producers for client retention and new opportunity development.
- Strong networking skills within the Baton Rouge market.
- Desire to grow professionally and advance within the insurance industry.
