Butler Snow LLP is seeking candidates interested in joining our litigation team in Baton Rouge in the position of Counsel or Senior Counsel (title determination commensurate with experience) for the Constitutional & Civil Rights Litigation Practice Group. In our Baton Rouge, LA office. This team maintains a national practice with an emphasis on federal court class actions. The firm is interested in candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

• Be a strategic part of a defense litigation team committed to providing excellent representation to our clients
• Participate in trial preparation include case strategy, discovery, records review, client and witness interviews
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare and argue motions
• Write compelling and thoroughly researched briefs and legal memorandums
• Research and analyze complex litigation areas

• Expertise in taking and defending depositions;
• Ability to research and investigate complex litigation areas;
• Excellent writing abilities
• License to practice law in Louisiana.
