Paralegal

Our client is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join the team in Baton Rouge. This in-office role supports attorneys defending Louisiana homebuilders and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong litigation experience and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and finalize legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and correspondence under attorney supervision

• Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials

• Organize, maintain, and manage physical and electronic case files

• Conduct legal research and prepare concise summaries of findings

• Communicate professionally with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel

• Track litigation deadlines, manage calendars, and ensure timely court filings

• Support overall case management in a fast-paced litigation environment

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of paralegal experience in litigation; construction or insurance defense experience strongly preferred

• Strong working knowledge of Louisiana legal procedures and court systems

• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills

• Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software

• Paralegal certification or degree preferred
