We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement and supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating purchasing activities, managing vendor communication, and ensuring materials arrive on time to keep production moving efficiently. You will play a critical role in coordinating inventory effectively, managing purchase orders, communicating with key suppliers, all while contributing to procurement process improvement.
WhatYou'll Do
- Assist with procurement and purchasing activities using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, Sage, or similar platforms
- Coordinate materials management, inventory tracking, and supply chain support activities
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Assist with sourcing raw materials, components, and services to support production demands
- Maintain accurate purchase orders, procurement records, and vendor documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to prevent material shortages
- Track orders and follow up on delayed shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Support supplier evaluations and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Help support procurement strategies related to sourcing, pricing, and inventory optimization
- 1-3 years of purchasing experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and follow-up skills when working with vendors and internal teams
- Basic understanding of procurement, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain operations
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar preferred
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus
