Job Description & How to Apply Below

Vice President / Director of Supply Chain

Some supply chain jobs are about keeping an established system running.

This one is about building a better one.

Core Wise is conducting a confidential search for a growing manufacturer seeking a senior supply chain leader with a seat at the leadership table and real authority over how the function operates.

You will own procurement, sourcing, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics. More importantly, you will own the results behind them.

That means supplier performance. Material cost. Commercial terms. Inventory. Working capital. Supply risk. And the operating discipline required to make all of it more predictable.

This could be a strong move for someone who has spent years running inside someone else's supply chain system and is ready to build one.

What you'll own
  • Hold suppliers to measurable commitments and intervene quickly when performance puts production at risk.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, cost reduction, negotiations, and commercial terms.
  • Reduce unnecessary single-source exposure and strengthen supply continuity.
  • Improve planning across demand, purchasing, inventory, and production.
  • Build a more deliberate inventory and working capital strategy.
  • Establish the reporting, accountability, and operating cadence needed to scale the function.
  • Partner across the business when specifications, timing, cost, or supply constraints require a decision.
  • Lead and develop the supply chain team.
What we’re looking for

You have spent at least 10 years in the manufacturing supply chain, including 5 or more years leading at the functional level.

Your experience extends across procurement and planning. You understand both the operational and financial side of the function.

Just as important, you can point to numbers.

Lower cost. Better supplier delivery. Shorter lead times. Higher inventory turns. Less exposure. Better planning.

You have worked with ERP or MRP systems and have experience improving a supply chain function as the business around it grew.

A bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related discipline is required
. APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, or similar credentials are a plus.

This is an on-site role in South Louisiana.

All inquiries will be handled confidentially. No candidate information will be shared with the client without the candidate's consent.
