PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe position is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and profitability of Retail Banking. The role oversees all branch operations, customer experience, product development and operational support functions. The role is accountable for delivering exceptional service, innovative products, and efficient processes that meet the evolving needs of retail customers while upholding compliance and risk management standards.
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB- Develop and execute the overall Retail banking strategy aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, innovation and employee engagement.
- Execute on the Retail banking annual budget for deposit production and growth.
- Drive branch network optimization, growth strategies and market expansion opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align retail banking with commercial and digital line of business
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide decisions.
- Provide leadership and oversight to Retail branch locations.
- Establish performance standards and monitor achievement of deposit and lending goals.
- Define and implement branch transformation strategies, including digital integration, staffing models and customer engagement approaches.
- Lead back-office support operations functions critical to retail banking efficiency.
- Streamline operational processes to improve productivity and cost effectiveness, while ensuring operational risk management and compliance regulatory standards adhere to internal policies.
- Lead the development, enhancement and lifecycle management of banking products.
- Drive customer focused product innovation by leveraging market insights and competitive analysis.
- Ensure products comply with legal and regulatory requirements while delivering customer value
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field, or the equivalent job experience required
- Minimum 15 years of work-related experience in banking or financial services field
- Strong leadership skills with ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems through the gathering and analyzing of relevant information.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Self-directed and motivated with ability to work decisively and independently.
- Dependable and willing to perform additional tasks or take on additional projects as needed.
- Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
- Business acumen, including financial and technological capacity, as well as project management skills and experience.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point; ability to use standard office
