Loader Operator -Transfer Station

Job Description

The Loader Operator is responsible operating the front end loader to move material to the correct location for proper sorting.

• Operating the front end loader with a high degree of skill.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Observe and report any potential malfunctions of the loader.
• Assist with the proper care and basic maintenance of the loader.
• Maintain an understanding of the recyclable commodities sorted and baled at the facility.
• Maintain constant awareness of the tipping floor and direct truck traffic during the dumping and loading process.
• Observe and report any unsafe activities or circumstances at the facility.
• Assist with the proper care and maintenance of the baler.

• Normal setting for this job is Industrial process plant with heavy production equipment, rolling stock and inventory.
• Required to use motor coordination and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May also work in a variety of environmental conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations: heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors and dust.

• The loader operator must have a clear understanding of the proper procedures for operating the loader.
• Knowledge of the flow of work and ability to anticipate tasks that need to occur when processing materials.
• Prior experience as a loader operator is required.
• The ability to operate the skid steers and forklifts used at facility.
• Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently.

• Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
• Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
• Follow all safety procedures established at the facility.
