Salary Range: $32.00 – $48.00 per hour
- Travel required: Support multiple locations within a 150‑mile radius of permanent address.
- Mileage reimbursement: Provided for required travel.
- Premium pay rates:
- $5.00 per hour premium on all hours worked.
- $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential.
- $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Experience requirements: 3 months experience in long‑term care required (6 months preferred).
- Scheduling requirements: Minimum of 30 hours per month; one weekend shift per month.
The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and utilizes appropriate age and population‑specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting. Responsibilities include caring for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their job descriptions and competency level.
All tasks are performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, administrative rules of the state of practice, and the standards of nursing practice. Professional practice recognizes the scope and standards of practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses, as published by the American Nurses Association.
Qualifications• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred. Preferred programs include Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing in the practice location or possesses multi‑state licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
