Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) in Baton Rouge, LA - Local or Travel - 13 Weeks

Job Summary:

Snap Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in correctional care to join our healthcare team. As an RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of patients in a correctional care setting. The RN must have experience monitoring a broad range of medical conditions, applying nursing principles and practices, and providing professional nursing care under minimal supervision in a variety of settings.

Qualifications:
  • Current, unencumbered Louisiana RN license.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide empathetic and compassionate nursing care to patients in a correctional care setting, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and document patients’ medical histories accurately.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Safely administer medications and perform necessary treatments.
  • Monitor vital signs closely to support patient safety and comfort.
  • Coordinate patient care by scheduling tests, consultations, and referrals as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
