Biolife - Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN

About the Role

You will support plasma collection operations at Bio Life Plasma Services as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. You will follow SOPs for medical emergencies, maintain regulatory compliance, and coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs.

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, develop standing orders, and transport donors to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health for further evaluation.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator and support pandemic threat investigations as authorized by EHS.
• Support environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidance and provide center‑level support.

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Current licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑accepted basic IV therapy certification.
• Completion of FDA approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Compensation: U.S. hourly wage range $24.32 – $33.44. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) plan, short‑ and long‑term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, 80 hours of sick time, 120 hours paid vacation, and other well‑being benefits.
