American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN
- Operating Room circulator with strong general and robotics skillset for a facility requiring active LA or compact RN license and call coverage.
- Work as an OR Circulator within the Operating Room department
- Day shift schedule with 5x8-hour shifts and variable start times, including a late list
- Call required including 2 weekends per contract and 1 call shift per week
- Float within the hospital as needed
- Utilizes Da Vinci Xi Surgical System for robotic surgery cases
- Active LA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of previous charge experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with travel experience required
- BLS certification required
- Strong general surgery and robotics skillset required
- Ortho and neuro experience required
- Experience with gynecology, plastics, general surgery, orthopedic, urology, podiatry, and ENT procedures
- One professional reference required
- Candidate's permanent residence must be greater than 50 miles from the facility
- Responsibilities include circulating for a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, urology, podiatry, plastics, and ENT procedures
- Performs professional knowledge and skills such as blood product administration, cardiac monitoring, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling, peripheral IV starts, Universal Protocol time-out procedures, urinary catheterization, and wound management
- Trained in emergency management including code response, fire safety, latex allergy protocols, and malignant hyperthermia response
- Experience with endoscopic procedures and peg tube placement/exchange
- Orientation includes a virtual first day followed by two on-site days with additional training and EMR education
- Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Holiday RTO requests should be kept to a minimum
