What We're Looking For:Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience preferred
ACLS certification required within one year of hire
PALS certification preferred
CGRN certification and SGNA membership encouraged/preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
Experience with procedural sedation, patient monitoring, and recovery preferred
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

What You Will Do:As an RN within CT and Imaging Services, you will coordinate and provide individualized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.
Patient Assessment & Care PlanningPerform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
Prioritize patient needs and identify nursing diagnoses
Develop individualized plans of care
Establish expected outcomes and update care plans
Document assessments and care plans accurately
Direct Patient Care & Clinical InterventionDeliver direct patient care using nursing practice standards
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely
Coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and support services
Monitor patient responses and intervene appropriately
Maintain patient rights, dignity, and privacy
Procedural Nursing & Sedation ManagementPerform pre-procedure assessments and patient preparation
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
Administer and monitor procedural sedation
Assist with procedures, medications, contrast administration, and equipment setup
Conduct post-procedure recovery monitoring and discharge instruction
Patient & Family EducationEducate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery
Reduce anxiety through compassionate communication
Interdisciplinary CollaborationCollaborate with physicians, technologists, and healthcare team members
Participate in care planning and discharge planning
Delegate care appropriately while maintaining accountability
Documentation & Quality ImprovementDocument assessments, treatments, medications, and outcomes accurately
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Evaluate treatment effectiveness and revise plans as needed
Other DutiesMaintain required certifications and competencies
Perform all other duties as assigned
