Position for Wildlife Enforcement Senior Agent. Five vacancies available through promotion of current permanent employees in the Enforcement Division across West Carroll, West Feliciana, St. Charles, Jefferson, and St. Bernard Parishes.

- Two years of experience as a Wildlife Enforcement Senior Agent or higher in state service.
- Four years of experience in wildlife conservation law enforcement.
- Active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clear criminal record – applicants convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence, felony, or under indictment on a felony charge are disqualified.
Lifting heavy objects (50 lbs. or more), walking long distances, working in harsh weather, accurately firing handguns, rifles, and shotguns, and operating vehicles, boats, and all‑terrain vehicles while performing duties.
Job Duties- Patrol public and private land and waters, including federal waters, using specialized equipment to enforce laws and protect wildlife resources.
- Investigate hunting accidents and boating crashes to determine causes and possible criminal charges.
- Coordinate enforcement activities within assigned parish or unit with lower‑level agents.
- Oversee enforcement on wildlife management areas within the assigned parish.
- Prepare and complete all enforcement documentation such as reports, citations, affidavits, warrants, and other required paperwork.
- Act temporarily as district supervisor in the absence of a Wildlife Enforcement Lieutenant.
