Area Manager II (Fulfillment & Operations

Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers each day. We are seeking motivated, customer‑focused individuals to serve as an Area Manager. In this role you will lead a team of hourly workers, engaging them during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are delivered at the right time and to the correct location.

Our operation’s workflow has three major components:

• First mile – where the product is housed and readied for order
• Middle mile – where the order is hauled to your area
• Last mile – when the product is delivered to the customer’s door

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer‑delivery promises
• Collaborate with support teams—Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources—to develop plans that meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 lbs and perform frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
• Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in an environment with variable noise levels, temperatures, weather, and outdoor loading departments
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (if applicable)

• 2+ years of employee and performance‑management experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

• 1+ year of performance‑metrics, process‑improvement, or lean‑technique experience
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma improvements
• Excellent customer‑service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field
• Industry experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, or distribution environments
