Catering Chef (Events + Production)

Overview

We’re hiring a Catering Chef to help execute high-quality food for corporate and social events. This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced—perfect for a chef who thrives on organization, consistency, and delivering great food under tight timelines.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare, cook, and finish menu items for catered events (hot & cold, plated, buffet, and hors d’oeuvres)
  • Follow recipes, prep lists, and production schedules to meet event deadlines
  • Assist with event execution as needed (on‑site finishing, setup coordination, quality checks)
  • Maintain high standards for taste, presentation, and portion control
  • Support menu execution for upscale and modern events, including weddings and corporate functions
  • Ensure proper food handling, labeling, storage, and temperature logs (Serv Safe standards)
  • Keep kitchen and prep areas clean, organized, and inspection‑ready
  • Manage inventory, receiving, and low stock/ordering
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and event staff to ensure smooth service
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of professional cooking experience (catering, banquet, or high‑volume preferred)
  • Strong knife skills, time management, and ability to multitask
  • Calm under pressure with a quality‑first mindset
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as events require
  • Knowledge of food safety standards;
    Serv Safe required
  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Experience with weddings or upscale catered events
  • Familiarity with batch cooking, banquet plating, and hors d’oeuvre production
  • Valid driver’s license (for off‑site events)
