Armed Security Officer

Location:

Franklin, LA (between Jeanerette & Morgan City)

Shift: Full-time, 8‑hour shifts

Pay: $19.00 per hour, pays weekly

• Patrolling entry ways and exits of property
• Maintaining a visible presence to deter and detect any suspicious activity
• Assisting staff and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Responding promptly to incidents and disturbances while ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Monitoring surveillance systems and conducting regular checks on property security systems
• Writing detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns
• Collaborating with law enforcement and other emergency personnel when necessary

• Law enforcement / military preferred (will receive first consideration)
• 21 years of age or older
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods (as needed)
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements
• Must have clean driving record
• Current armed license – A PLUS (will receive first consideration)
• Experience being an armed guard – A PLUS
• 2 years of security experience needed

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Participate in industry‑specific security/safety training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
