Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime)
Schedule: Onsite Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT
Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour
Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support facility operations within a high‑volume warehouse and production environment. This role is 100% onsite and requires working in a non‑climate‑controlled industrial setting (excluding office and select storage areas). The environment can be hot, dirty, and fast‑paced, with a strong emphasis on keeping production equipment operational and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate is a proactive, “jack‑of‑all‑trades” professional who can perform mechanical troubleshooting, light electrical work, and general facility maintenance while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures.
This role is best suited for a versatile technician who thrives in a production‑driven environment and takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production lines, warehouse equipment, grain silos, forklifts, loading docks, and facility systems
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure continuous production
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues using appropriate tools and testing equipment
- Perform light electrical work, including wiring, basic troubleshooting, and component replacement
- Conduct routine lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and parts replacement
- Complete minor building repairs such as doors, locks, lighting, fixtures, ceiling tiles, and general facility upkeep
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, labor records, and materials usage documentation
- Monitor and maintain parts and supply inventory; communicate with management regarding major repairs or procurement needs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, with prior maintenance or related industrial experience required, or commensurate/equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, light electrical systems, and industrial equipment repair
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or production environments preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read technical manuals and basic blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Understanding of safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and crawl into confined spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled industrial environment
