Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The technician collaborates with management and facility teams to support operational efficiency, manages work assignments using digital tools, and participates in on-call rotations.
Accurate documentation and effective communication are essential to maintain system reliability and support continuous improvement within facility services.
The team is committed to maintaining and optimizing HVAC and refrigeration systems that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction. They lead projects while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards and manage resources efficiently. Utilizing technical expertise, the team troubleshoots, repairs, and enhances equipment performance. They build strong partnerships with suppliers and contractors, provide training, and adapt to evolving challenges. Focused on quality and integrity, the team drives continuous improvement and delivers reliable solutions that uphold company standards and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Whatyou'll do:
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, ductwork, controls, and building automation components.
- Interpret technical documentation and schematics to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues affecting HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls across multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders using digital tools.
- Collaborate with management and facility operators to support operational needs and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies at all times.
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining HVAC systems, including ductwork and control components.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control system issues affecting HVAC equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and company safety protocols to ensure safe work environments.
- Competence in using digital tools for work order management, scheduling, and documentation.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and team members.
