Duties And Responsibilities- Safely operate tractors and various attachments, including mowers, trailers, and other equipment as needed.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and identify any issues that may affect safe operation.
- Check fluid levels, grease equipment, and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report equipment damage, safety hazards, or mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, equipment hours, and routine maintenance.
- Keep equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Assist with other landscape maintenance and operational duties as needed.
- 1–2 years of experience operating tractors or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver heavy equipment in various work environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb onto and off of machinery safely.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing job duties.
- Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods in heat, cold, rain, dust, and other weather conditions.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot common equipment issues.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with team members.
