Lead Residential HVAC Installer

$35-$45/Hour | $3,000 Sign On Bonus Available to Qualified Candidates

We're looking for a Lead Residential HVAC Installer who enjoys leading by example, developing apprentices, and ensuring every installation is completed to the highest standard. This is an opportunity to take ownership of your jobs, mentor less experienced team members, and play a key role in building a stronger installation department.

Our Lead Installers don't just install equipment-they set the tone for the rest of the team. They coach apprentices, maintain quality on every job, and help create a positive culture built on accountability, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

What You'll Do
  • Lead residential HVAC replacement and retrofit installations from start to finish
  • Serve as the lead technician on installation projects, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and correctly
  • Train, mentor, and develop apprentice and junior installers through hands-on coaching
  • Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining quality and productivity
  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, and indoor air quality products
  • Fabricate and modify ductwork systems
  • Install refrigeration lines, gas piping, venting, condensate drains, and low-voltage controls
  • Perform equipment startups, commissioning, testing, and system verification
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and make sound decisions in the field
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, answering questions and providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, company standards, safety requirements, and local code
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles
  • Provide feedback to management on apprentice progress, training opportunities, and process improvements
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (lead experience preferred)
  • Proven experience leading installation crews or mentoring apprentices
  • Strong residential retrofit and replacement background
  • Ability to train others while maintaining productivity and quality
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of:
    Furnaces, Heat Pumps, Air Conditioning Systems, Air Handlers, Ductwork Fabrication & Modifications, Refrigeration Piping, Gas Piping, Low-Voltage Controls & HVAC Wiring
  • Ability to perform equipment startups, commissioning, and final quality inspections
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Pride in craftsmanship and a commitment to helping others succeed
