Role DescriptionArcadis seeks a Network/ITS Technician with a wide variety of experience to join the team in Louisiana. In this role you will assist our growing ITS/TSC engineering group on various projects across the state of Louisiana and possibly other states in the Gulf Region.
ResponsibilitiesThe ITSTechnician is responsible for integration and maintenance of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and network devices, including CCTV systems, dynamic message signs, travel time readers, and vehicle detection devices. The role handles configuration, installation, and upkeep of critical communications systems such as Layer 2/3 network switches, cellular routers, fiber optic networks, and wireless radio systems. Troubleshooting of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) issues to ensure seamless connectivity and system performance across the assigned region is also required.
Qualificationsand Experience
- 3 or more years of experience in specialist/technical area such as ethernet switches, wireless radios, fiber optics, and CCTV systems.
- A strong team player who collaborates with colleagues to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Prioritizes health and safety in all aspects of the role, maintaining awareness of hazards in outdoor and high‑traffic areas.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast United States and work in outdoor environments, including major transportation routes.
- Comfortable working near traffic and at heights greater than 10 feet.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn about CCTV systems, communications network infrastructure, and electrical systems to support various project needs.
- Preferred experience with Intelligent Transportation System Devices such as CCTV, Dynamic Messaging Signs, Vehicle Detection Devices and others.
- Working with aerial equipment, including manlifts and bucket trucks.
- Tower Safety and Rescue Certifications or willingness to obtain after hire.
- NFPA 70 Electrical or willingness to obtain after hire.
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician or willingness to obtain after hire.
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Fiber Optic and/or Wireless Communications experience or certifications.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $53,100 - $65,000.
Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
