Maintenance Technician

We have a food product company with an immediate opening for a maintenance technician for their Baton Rouge production facility. This position will serve as a valued team member monitoring the upkeep of an assembly line of machines including conveyor belts, blenders, and ovens. This is a full-time, long-term position seeking an individual with years of previous maintenance experience.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay: $16-$19 per hour depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery
• Perform scheduled and emergency mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair of equipment during production
• Use a variety of hand power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to complete work orders
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

Prior Requirements:

• Needs at least 4 years of manufacturing experience including strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial HVAC, and vacuum furnace knowledge and skills
• Must have a High School Diploma and completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent production maintenance experience
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to lift and move objects of up to 75 pounds
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and a strong work ethic
