The Role
The headspace Onkaparinga Centre Lead plans, coordinates and oversees the delivery of headspace services in a professional, ethical and outcomes-focused manner. Drawing on strong mental health expertise, the Centre Lead provides leadership to ensure program objectives and performance targets are achieved. The role supports the planning, development, implementation and continuous review of policies, procedures and service delivery processes to enhance service quality and effectiveness.
This position plays a pivotal role in the overall leadership, management, integration and performance of the service. The Centre Lead ensures the Centre operates in accordance with the headspace model of care and is aligned with Sonder’s strategic and business priorities. The role is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing service delivery operations, while contributing to strategic planning that supports the ongoing growth and future development of headspace Onkaparinga.
A key focus of the role is ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible mental health services to young people, achieving required service outputs, and actively promoting awareness of headspace services within the local community.
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience at a senior level within the area of mental health service delivery.
- Extensive administrative, financial and management experience within a mental health service delivery context
- Experience in successfully leading/coordinating a team of staff and working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation.
- Demonstrated experience in preparation of reports for funding agencies.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience working across a range of Commonwealth and State funded mental health programs and ensuring program implementation in line with funding requirements and contracts.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Evidence-informed interventions for young people with a broad range of mental health presentations
- Developmentally and age appropriate care for young people
- Involving young people in their own care and inclusive practice principles
- Family inclusive practices
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Applicants must hold qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
• Psychology - registration with AHPRA
• Social Work – with Mental Health Accreditation through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• Occupational Therapy – with Mental Health Endorsement recognised by Occupational Therapy Australia and registration with AHPRA
• Nursing – must be a Registered Nurse with Credentialed Mental Health Nurse status through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
