Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites in a dynamic school district near Baton Rouge, LA. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a vital role in educational assessment, intervention planning, and collaboration with staff, students, and families. This part-time, contract role (29 hours per week) runs from late July through May, with initial professional development days beginning 7/27.

Key

Qualifications:
  • Active Louisiana DOE School Psychology certification required
  • Experience in psycho educational assessment, IDEA compliance, and eligibility criteria
  • Adept at interpreting and clearly presenting assessment data and comprehensive evaluation reports
  • Strong collaboration skills with school teams, diagnosticians, SLPs, social workers, and administrators
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple timelines and caseloads
  • District background check and fingerprinting required
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct educational assessments for K-12 students, submit clear and timely written reports
  • Participate as a core member of multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and well-being
  • Work directly with students and families, providing information, referrals, and intervention strategies
  • Maintain thorough case records and documentation
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families on learning and behavioral strategies
  • Interpret assessment processes and outcomes to all stakeholders
  • Participate in in-service training sessions
  • Ensure all assessments and reporting meet district and legal requirements
