THRIVE SCHOOL POSITION
THRIVE is a school unique in purpose and design. It is one of the first residential schools in the country and the first in Louisiana. THRIVE's mission is to empower students from underserved Louisiana communities and prepare them academically and personally for success in college and as active citizens. With a growth plan to serve grades seven through twelve, THRIVE aims to reach this goal through a world-class education in an innovative residential setting.
Given the residential nature of the school, it is important to note that members of the school staff work traditional school hours and are not expected to live on campus with students.
Evaluate mental and behavioral health of students
Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students as needed
Works with academic and residential staff to communicate concerns and create plans for students
Consults with parents and guardians as needed on student concerns, progress, etc.
Completes required administrative paperwork
Develops and implements plans and activities to support student mental and behavioral health
Creates and/or informs and supports maintenance of behavioral and mental health related student policies
Provide Crisis Management Services to any student or adult on Campus
Act at Case Manager/Coordinator for LEA, for our billing and Medicaid System
Works a MAXimum of 20 hours per week during school weeks
Other duties as needed/assigned by supervisor(s)
QualificationsHas at least a master's degree and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Master Social Worker
Has at least a year experience in working with at-risk youth.
Has demonstrated past performance in crafting new program.
Has demonstrated mastery in time-management skills.
Has exceptional problem-solving skills and values feedback.
Fosters relational capacity among staff, parents and students.
