Reports To:

Highway Foreman 2

No experience or training is required.

• Operate heavy equipment as needed.
• Interpret data in operator manuals to ensure equipment limits and capabilities are not exceeded. Perform minor repairs, services, and cleaning per the operator manual and manufacturer’s recommendations to keep equipment safe and efficient.
• May be required to perform other duties as necessary, including emergency/disaster support activities.
• Prior to equipment operation, conduct routine visual/physical safety inspection and report problems to supervisor or appropriate personnel, taking corrective action when possible.

Probational or Promotional.

Position may be filled as Mobile Equipment Operator 1, 2, or 1/Heavy.

6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.

MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 1:
Class D, Chauffeur’s License required. Starting salary $16.06/hr with $1.00/hr premium pay and 10% base pay increase upon permanent status.

Mobile Equipment Operator 2:
Class A, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Starting salary $17.18/hr with $1.00/hr premium pay and 10% base pay increase upon permanent status.

Mobile Equipment Operator 1/Heavy
:
Class A, CDL required. Starting salary $21.05/hr.
