Distribution Center Driver

As a Distribution Center Driver, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our warehouse and distribution activities. You will support receiving, put-away, inventory accuracy, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counts, and customer deliveries. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and focus on customer service will help ensure materials are handled accurately and delivered efficiently while supporting an organized and productive distribution center.

• Receive and unload motor freight, UPS, and other incoming shipments safely and accurately
• Complete stock put-away activities and maintain appropriate inventory slotting locations
• Pick, pack, weigh, and process outbound shipments accurately and efficiently
• Print delivery tickets, pull materials for fulfillment, and verify purchase order notes and material requirements
• Prepare bills of lading and other required documentation for motor freight shipments
• Coordinate carrier pickups and safely load outbound motor freight shipments
• Coordinate and document customer will-call orders to ensure accurate and timely pickup
• Maintain warehouse inventory organization, accuracy, and general housekeeping standards
• Participate in required quarterly physical inventory counts and cycle-count activities
• Receive and verify purchase orders and confirm sales orders within AWC’s internal .NET system
• Operate company vehicles and material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Complete local customer deliveries safely, accurately, and professionally while representing AWC in a positive manner
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience operating a forklift and other warehouse material-handling equipment
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to safely move and/or lift parts weighing up to 45 pounds
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy, quality, and safe work practices
• Ability to provide professional, responsive customer service to customers, sales representatives, and internal team members
• Meet productivity expectations while consistently adhering to safety policies
• Demonstrated reliability, including regular attendance and punctuality
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and the flexibility to work extended hours when business needs require
• Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including a physical, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check

• 2 + years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or similar environment
• Previous commercial or delivery driving experience
• Experience making deliveries to chemical plants, refineries, paper mills, or other industrial facilities
• Experience with warehouse management, ERP, inventory, or order-fulfillment systems
