Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, pulling, staging, and preparing flooring materials for customer pickup or delivery. This position requires a dependable, safety-minded employee who can work efficiently in a physically demanding environment while maintaining accuracy and organization.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, forklift operation skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to learn Company systems. This position may also provide occasional front desk and customer support as needed.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred and will receive additional compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner to move and store flooring materials.

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against packing slips or invoices.

• Prepare orders by pulling materials from shelves and packing them for shipment or pickup.

• Assist in inventory management by conducting cycle counts and maintaining accurate stock records.

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.

• Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy flooring materials (up to 50-70 pounds).

• Read and interpret documents such as packing slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Write clearly and legibly to complete necessary paperwork accurately.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including forklift operation.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred; ability to communicate effectively in both languages.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including exposure to varying temperatures and lifting heavy objects.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations.

• Basic computer skills (familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus).
