Starting range of $66,123.20 - $81,016.00 per year, with opportunities for annual increases.

Director of Risk Management

Responsible for overseeing the worker’s compensation program including, maintaining and managing the program, claims investigation for Medical Only Claims and assisting the Director of Risk Management with Lost Time Claims, settlement and litigation in Tribal Court. Responsible for evaluating and reducing loss exposures, assessing liability andthe development of internal controls for an effective Risk and Safety program. Also responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable insurance laws, health and safety regulations, OSHA standards and all applicable Federal, Tribal, State and Local Laws under the guidance of the Director of Risk Management.

Position will also provide continuity of operations for a seamless transition between leadership within Risk Management.

The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, organizational specific policies, procedures and practices.

• Acts as a representative of the company in the absence of the Director of Risk Management in managing claims for all worker’s compensation,personal injury, property damage claims and insurance, handling questions and demands promptly and courteously. When in doubt, shall seek out appropriate advise from either the Vice President of Security Surveillance, current insurance broker or Third-Party Administrator on record (TPA).
• Supervises over the Risk Coordinator duties and responsibilities.
• Reviews accident investigations to determine root cause and issues follow-up reports/recommendations for all serious injury incidents for OSHA compliance and accident prevention.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations to include implementing and monitoring safety programs to ensure a safety, healthy and accident-free work environment.
• Assists the Director of Risk Management with OSHA-related issues to include yearly reports, job site posters, citations, hearings and other OSHA related matters.
• Conducts daily routine inspections for the property to include but not limited to the Casino/Hotel,Quality Inn and Pit Stop, identifying potential safety risks in an effort to eliminate hazardous and/or dangerous conditions.
• Develops safety and occupational curriculum for required safety training and coordinates training with Security and Human Resources. Advises management and team members on hazard mitigation and safe practices with monthly reporting for corrective action needed.
