CLASSIFICATION: Instructional/MTSS Secondary Coach/Interventionist (31a)

LOCATION: High School

SUPERVISOR: Stefanie Howard

STARTING DATE: August 2026

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
  • A minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data in making instructional decisions, familiar with teaching and learning cycle.
  • Understanding of core curriculum, effective instructional strategies, formative and summative assessment along with a deep understanding of state and national testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate 21st century learning skills (5 C’s: collaboration, critical thinking, creating, communication and contributing citizens) into daily lessons.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Successful Experience as an Intervention Teacher.
  • Successful Literacy Coaching Experience.
  • Trained or willing to be trained in Cognitive Coaching through our CISD.
  • Trained or willing to be trained in PLC and FAME- formative assessment process, and adaptive schools.
  • Strong technology skills:
    Word, Excel, Google Apps, etc.
  • Preference to someone who has Reading Apprenticeship knowledge/experiences.
