Notice of Vacancy- 200 Days/Year Coordinator of Student Services (BCBA) General Description of Position

The primary role of a Coordinator of Student Services (BCBA) is to work collaboratively with school personnel to develop and implement positive support plans for students with challenging behavior; provide support and professional learning to teachers, school staff, and instructional assistants in appropriate behavior intervention techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support IEP teams in promoting the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) by developing and implementing evidence-based behavioral supports that enable students to successfully access and participate in their educational program within their local school district whenever appropriate.
  • Observe students and learning environments to assess behavioral needs and identify evidence-based interventions that support student success.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and collaborate with IEP teams in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide direct behavioral services and intervention for students with complex or challenging behaviors as assigned.
  • Model effective implementation of behavioral interventions, instructional strategies, classroom management, and de-escalation techniques for school staff.
  • Design, implement, and monitor data collection systems to measure student progress, intervention fidelity, and behavioral outcomes.
  • Analyze behavioral data to make recommendations for modifications to intervention plans and instructional programming.
  • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, teacher assistants, and mental health professionals to support student programming and promote successful educational outcomes.
  • Participate as a member of IEP teams by providing behavioral consultation, recommendations, written reports, and progress updates.
  • Provide consultation and ongoing coaching to district staff in the implementation of evidence-based behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports.
  • Develop and deliver professional learning for administrators, teachers, teacher assistants, and other staff in behavior management, data collection, and evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Collaborate with center-based and local districts to promote consistent behavioral programming and a continuum of behavioral supports.
  • Provide clinical oversight to the Intensive Support Team.
  • Observe implementation of behavioral interventions and provide timely performance feedback to ensure treatment integrity and implementation fidelity.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of district behavioral programs, procedures, and best practices aligned with current research and professional standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring records, assessment reports, and required records in accordance with district, state, and professional requirements.
  • Present behavioral assessment results, recommendations, and program outcomes effectively through written reports and oral presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Support center-based programs through consultation, coaching, modeling, and problem-solving related to instruction, classroom management, behavior intervention, student engagement, and implementation fidelity of behavioral programming.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all district policies, state and federal regulations, BACB Ethics Code, and applicable health and safety procedures.
Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in education, special education, applied behavior analysis, psychology or related field recognized by the BACB for certification as a BCBA
  • Certified BCBA in good standing with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
