Design Engineer | Battle Creek, MI
Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Battle Creek that are seeking skilled Design Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design manufacturability and quality.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate design performance.
- Troubleshoot design-related production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, AutoCAD).
- Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and their application.
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining).
- Experience with FEA simulations for design validation.
- Experience with DFM/DFA principles and their application in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus) for design validation and optimization.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes beyond core expertise (e.g., injection molding, casting, welding).
- Knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in technical drawings.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
