Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Battle Creek seeking Applications Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand and define application requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement software solutions for production processes and equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing manufacturing applications.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Integrate new software applications with existing manufacturing systems and databases.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for applications and processes.
• Train end-users on new software applications and functionalities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, field service, or technical sales within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar) and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical support and solutions to customers.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites for demonstrations, training, and support.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear and concise technical documentation or training materials.
• Experience with simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD) or design tools (e.g., CAD/CAM).
