Controller - Battle Creek Area

Salary Range: $124,000 - $174,000 depending on experience

• Manage all financial reporting, including month-end close, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial performance, manufacturing costs, and operational variances to drive profitability.
• Coordinate external audits and tax preparations, serving as the primary liaison.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive financial management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing methodologies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control principles.

• Experience leading ERP system implementations or significant financial module optimizations within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with advanced data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for financial insights.
• Demonstrated understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and their application to financial performance and cost reduction.
• Experience in process automation (RPA) for financial reporting or transaction processing workflows.
