The Person al Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The role includes processing teller transactions and working as a member of the platform staff. The banker helps customers understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions that span the customer’s lifecycle through a consultative sales and service process.

Responsible for risk management, exchanging ideas openly, and following policies and procedures. Accountable for ethical conduct, ensuring actions drive a positive customer experience within the Bank’s risk appetite.

• Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating relationships in a book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other channels.
• Use a consultative approach with customers to uncover needs and tailor recommendations and solutions.
• Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and problems resolved.
• Analyze customer credit data and other financial information to ensure appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
• Provide customer support to reinforce the value of current and new technology.
• Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
• Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED and 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
• Exhibits business acumen.
• Demonstrated ability in making sound decisions.
• SAFE Act registration required at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
