Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and availability for every other weekend shifts.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit,

• Patient population includes a mix of medical patients across specialties such as ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical cases including GI, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies,

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30),

• 36 or 48-hour work weeks available,

• Staffing ratio of 1:5-6 patients on nights, with flexibility up to 1:7-8 when paired with an LPN for support,

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically approximately once per week based on unit need,

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required,

• BLS certification (AHA) required; pending BLS will be considered if candidate confirms willingness to obtain prior to start,

• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred,

• Must be comfortable working alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and techs,

Additional Information

• Must be available for the first 2 weeks of the assignment for orientation,

• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time,

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate,

• 13-week contract
