Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Staffing:
    • Coordinate recruitment efforts for production, maintenance, and administrative positions
    • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and facilitate hiring process
    • Develop relationships with staffing agencies and vocational schools
    • Manage job postings and applicant tracking systems
    • Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding processes
  • Employee Relations:
    • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances
    • Assist with disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
    • Support supervisors with employee relations issues
    • Facilitate communication between management and hourly workforce
    • Handle unemployment claims and workers' compensation cases
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain employee files and HR database systems
    • Prepare HR reports and metrics for management
    • Update employee handbook and policy communications
    • Assist with special projects and initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification
  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation and safety regulations
