Responsibilities- Recruitment & Staffing:
- Coordinate recruitment efforts for production, maintenance, and administrative positions
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and facilitate hiring process
- Develop relationships with staffing agencies and vocational schools
- Manage job postings and applicant tracking systems
- Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding processes
- Employee Relations:
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances
- Assist with disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Support supervisors with employee relations issues
- Facilitate communication between management and hourly workforce
- Handle unemployment claims and workers' compensation cases
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain employee files and HR database systems
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for management
- Update employee handbook and policy communications
- Assist with special projects and initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of workers' compensation and safety regulations
