Sr. Application Specialist (PHP)

Our client is seeking a Senior Application Specialist to join their company for a contract-to-hire position that is remote
. The Application Specialist will focus on building and maintaining PHP-based applications and deep integrations with e-commerce, VoIP, and ticketing platforms that power core business workflows.

Location:
Remote, Eastern Time Zone business hours

Compensation:
This job is expected to pay about $50-60/hr plus benefits

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting booking, inventory, pricing, and supplier operations
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Develop scalable, high-availability solutions to support global customers and partners
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality and consistency
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a customer-facing environment
• Lead technical design and architecture discussions for new features and system enhancements
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Code Igniter/Laravel framework)
• Experience building web-based (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and API-driven applications
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or No
  
  SQL) and data modeling
• Experience working with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Experience with e-commerce and/or reservation systems (Plus)
• Experience with Zoho, Ring Central, and/or Clarifysoft (Plus)
• Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding standards
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
