JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary
Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers' standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting.
- Perform die set operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies.
- Perform quality checks.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies.
- Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework.
- Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.
- Be able to work 2nd shift.
- Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor.
Rate of Pay
: $35.43 per hour
