Position: Textile Production (Battle Creek)

Hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm!

Purpose or General Objective:

To sort, hang, and tag donated merchandise while meeting GICMH production standards.

Essential Duties:

* Continually serve as a positive role model for all employees, participants, and customers working with and for Goodwill Industries.

* Sort through donated goods while determining quality textile and bin to hang and seasonal merchandise to store.

* Continually hang and tag textile and maintain a level of processing performance of at least 80 pieces per hour with no more than 5% bale.

* Correctly label carts and Gaylords as "SEASONAL" or "BALE", or as directed.

* Assist the Production Supervisor with shipping and receiving between locations.

* Transfer Z-Racks, carts, and Gaylords to the appropriate staging area within the processing area.

* Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by following safety procedures and reporting injuries and safety hazards.

* Maintain good housekeeping skills, including sweeping and cleaning the work area at the end of the shift.

* Perform 5-Minute Drills at workstations.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to reach, bend, twist, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly.

* Ability to use a pallet jack.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
